This meal was one of my favorite pastime Friday meals – homemade bao buns, pork belly and kimchi slaw. I would shape the bao buns like dinner rolls and let them proof in a small sheet of parchment paper for a quick transfer and into the wooden steam baskets it went. Though this was my first time making Bao buns, it was my first time steaming and making bread in less than 12 minutes! Grand.
Bulgogi Pork Belly
Pork Belly – 2 strips
Kyums Soy Sauce – 4TBS
1. Heat pan on Medium Heat.
2. Cook the pork belly strips dry (without adding oil on pan) 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
3. Lower the heat, add Kyums Soy / Spicy Sauce and let it slowly caramelize. 1-2 minutes on each side.
You don’t have to add garlic / oil and it’s super easy. Trust me.
